Battle other players over the PLAYSTATIONNetwork. Refer to in-game instructions for details regarding controls or game play.

It is strongly recommended that the PLAYSTATION3 Internet Connection Test be successfully completed and the NAT Type be confirmed as 1 or 2 before playing this game. Please refer to the online PLAYSTATION3 online manual or the manual for your network equipment for information regarding network settings. When using a wireless LAN, the connection may be affected by other machines within the network.

There are two types of online play in Online Battle.
*The name used in Online Battle is the PLAYSTATIONNetwork user ID.

In OPTI MATCH, QUICK MATCH, CUSTOM MATCH, CREATE ROOM, and FRIEND MATCH, the maximum number of particpants is eight. Each player waits in order for a chance to fight the current Champion of the room while watching the current match. With RANK MATCH: ON settings, the results of the battle are reflected in Battle Points and affect placement in the ranking.

Set search conditions and connect directly to available players to battle in PICKUP MATCH. With RANK MATCH: ON settings, the results of the battle are reflected in Battle Points and affect placement in the ranking.
*More Battle Points are awarded with RANK MATCH: ON in this mode than with the same setting in a Battle Room.

Online Battle Rank reflects a player's online results and is unaffected by offline game play. Rank can be increased by gaining Battle Points. Also, a player's Player Level is decided by their online Rank. The Player Level is divided into Low, Middle, and High. Player Level is useful in setting a room to fight players of roughly the same level.

When playing for the first time, you must read and agree to the Terms of Use for TEKKEN 5 Dark Resurrection Online. Online Battle results are saved before and after a match. Turning off the PLAYSTATION3 power or failing to end the battle will result in Battle Points being deducted. Disconnecting during a battle, whether intentional or not, will result in the loss of Battle Points.

A PLAYSTATION3 compatible headset may be used in voice chat enabled rooms to talk to other players in the room or during a match. However, the room will be disbanded if the host of a voice chat enabled room leaves.
